About us

We are Anita and Jeroen Prins.

Since 2021, we live on one of the most beautiful places in the world, the island of La Palma.
On the sunny west coast of La Palma, we bought an old avocado plantation in 2019, which we transformed into a paradise with a house for us and two holiday cottages for guests.

La Palma… La Isla Bonita. It has always been a passion for us, the search for the good in life.

Anita, who, after many wanderings, finally returned to her birthplace of Dronten. Meanwhile, she rose through the ranks in the healthcare sector, from pharmacy assistant to valued right-hand woman of the pharmacists themselves and responsible for the finances. There, in 2002, she met Jeroen, a graduate forestry expert, hospitality professional, and antique dealer/appraiser. Jeroen isn’t one for rigid structures and is willingly to see what else life has to offer. Together, we made plans for a future off the beaten track.

La Palma… The small island with its wonderfully diverse nature. The warm climate, where summer and spring alternate, without the gray autumn and winter. The friendly people who live there, like in a rural village. The peace and quiet with the beautiful views over the fields, the forests, and the vast ocean.

A regular holiday destination became a place where we envisioned a new future. A life without a permanent job, independent and self-sufficient.
On the drawing board of our future, Finca Las Prinsas was born. A seven-year project. A bumpy ride. An impressive process of writing and deleting, weighing and considering, adapting and persevering. But Finca Las Prinsas has become beautiful.

It is 2025 when the final step in our project is completed. We are enjoying the good life, together with all the satisfied guests who visit us now and in the future at Finca Las Prinsas.
